New Function
To celebrate the 60 years’ anniversary of the Nordic Folkboat in 2002, Brandt-Møller’s Boatyard developed a brand new deck layout for our version of the fibre glass Nordic Folkboat - which we call ‘New Function’.
The new deck layout for the GRP Folkboat is of course kept inside the class rules, but with a lot of innovation and clever details.
It seems to be the right way to celebrate a 60-year-old lady - still classic - but kept young by being ‘up-to-date’.
That is the way to celebrate a beloved boat, which appeals to sailors of all ages.
A racing version of the ‘New Function’ is also on offer and in the racing version we attach more importance to regatta than to tour sailing.
It has been the wish of Brandt-Møller’s Boatyard to offer their customers a genuine boat full of quality with the ‘New Function’ version - even though it is nearly minimalistic in its appearance, it still has details that make you sense the whisper of former days’ beautiful wooden Folkboats - because inside you will find mahogany bulkheads, berth-sides and shelves - all of course with high gloss varnish.
